A video of CNN crew covering president-elect Donald Trump’s appearance in Indiana went viral after one producer was caught joking about his plane crashing. The producer was working with correspondent Suzanne Malveaux as she prepared to go live from Carrier Corporation headquarters.
All happened when the crew began to discuss what sign they would use to let Malveaux know that Trump’s plane had arrived and he was on his way to the press conference. So the producer made a sign off camera and said: “That means his plane’s crashed.” “Just kidding,” she added immediately.
CNN was forced to issue an apology to both Trump and his transition team. “An unfortunate and inappropriate remark was made by one of our producers off camera yesterday. We have apologized to the Trump transition team, and the producer has been disciplined.”
