Boston Dynamics, the Alphabet subsidiary specialized in robotics, presented SpotMini, it’s quietest and smallest robot. It’s really like a dog, designed to move through the reduced spaces of a little house or an apartment.
In fact it can do some things that a real dog can’t. For example, pick up delicate objects like glasses with its articulated arm.
SpotMini weighs 55 pounds (25 kilograms) and is all-electric. It runs for about 90 minutes on a charge. It has been programmed to perform some tasks autonomously, but needs a human for high-level guidance.
