A 40-year-old man was stuck late Monday in a food-cracking hole in a cell door at the Civil Police Precinct in Balneario Piçarras, on the northern coast of Santa Catarina, Brazil. According to the Civil Police, the man had been caught red-handed around noon after a robbery.
At the police station, he was waiting for a transfer to a prison when he tried to escape. The man began to scream when he noticed that he was stuck in the 30 centimeters hole. As the officers couldn’t free him, they had to call the fire department.
According to firefighters, it was necessary to use a hydraulic tool to dislodge the inmate, since the door was reinforced with iron bars. He stayed about 30 minutes stuck.
