A woman and her small dog were seen at the edge of the water at Cahill’s Crossing on the East Alligator River, in Kakadu National Park, Australian Northern Territory. She was standing there when a salt water crocodile swam towards her.
Her reaction was amazing. She removed her flip flop and slapped it against her hand. As a consequence, the crocodile retreated immediately.
Local crocodile enthusiast Lyndon Anlezark was the one that filmed the encounter. “It’s just incredible someone would take such a risk. I don’t think she realised how dangerous this kind of behaviour is,” he told Reuters.
