A family of three bears was spotted recently bathing in the waters of Lake Tahoe, California. Video uploaded by a beachgoer showed what appears to be a mama bear with her two cubs splashing around in the lake while onlookers on the shoreline and kayakers observed from a distance.
The video of the spectacle was taken last Thursday at Pope Beach near Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe. It has been seen more than 10 million times.
The bears didn’t bother anyone and didn’t even seem to care about their surroundings. No one was hurt, but wildlife experts say that the best thing to do is to stay away from them. There are some 250 to 300 wild black bears in the Lake Tahoe region.
