“Photonicinduction” is a YouTube channel created by an electrical engineer. His goal is to push electrical appliances to their limits. He certainly achieved that in this video, where he tested an amazing 20,000 watt light bulb.
“In this box is one of the most ridiculous incandescent lamps I’ve ever come across,” he said at the opening of the video. The engineer pulled then a nearly 2-foot long bulb from the box.
Most light bulbs are only around 100 watts or less. Not even on a movie set is easy to find a 20,000 watt halogen bulb like that.
To test it, he plugged it into a machine that allowed him to regulate the electrical current. The brightness and the heat that the bulb irradiated made it appeared like a tiny electrical sun.
“This is unbelievable. I’m starting to sweat,” the technician said. “Bloody hell, it’s like having a bonfire in the middle of the room,” he added.
